Yeshua, a First Century Jewish carpenter turned rabbi, and yet much more than that, began by teaching twelve of his countrymen to
love their neighbour and honour their Creator in a country under enemy occupation. His life was a fulfilment of many ancient Hebrew prophecies; He even claimed to have come from eternity and to be
one with God. He spoke with wisdom, love and a divine authority that has never been equalled before or since. Today he is revered by many for his compassion for the weak and marginalised, and for the
miracles he performed. Rabbi Sha'ul described him as "the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created ... He is before all things, and in him
all things hold together.” There has never been anyone to compare with Him; Yeshua is unique!
In their eye-witness accounts of the life of Yeshua, Yochanan and Mattityahu record people's reactions to him and to His powerful words; reactions such as, "No one ever spoke the way this man does!" "You have the words of eternal life!" and "What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!"
Meditate on his words below; drink deeply as he speaks personally to your inmost being.
